‎Ramadan: Confab adjusts sitting time

The Confab will now sit from 9 to 3:30 p.m.

The National Conference on Monday adjusted its time of sitting to enable Muslim delegates have some time to break their fast at home.

The decision followed a proposal from conference Chairman, Idris Kutigi.

Mr. Kutigi had informed delegates that the sitting time needed to be reduced by 30 minutes.

The conference deliberations take place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a break of two hours.

However, after deliberating on options suggested by the Chairman, the delegates unanimously resolved that sessions be held from 9 a.m to 3.30 p.m daily, without any break.

The new time for sitting takes effect from Tuesday, July 1.
