The suspect was initially arrested on July 17 for killings at Akinyele area of Ibadan during COVID-19 lockdown.
Sunday Shodipe was re-arrested on Sunday.
Mr Shodipe said he ran away from Mokola police custody where he was detained.
He was first arrested on July 17 but escaped on August 11.
Mr Shodipe was arrested in connection with several killings in Akinyele local government area of the state.
