The Judges say the longlist consisted of plays that unravel profound themes.
The 2022 edition of the Nigeria Prize for Literature initially had 287 poets compete for the $100,000 Prize.
The Nigeria Prize for Literature rotates yearly amongst four literary categories - prose fiction, poetry, drama, and children’s literature.
The event, which is sponsored by sponsored by Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Limited, is currently in its 15th year.
