The 27-year-old patient was intercepted at Ishieke in Ebonyi Local government Area while coming from Delta State in a bus.
The official said he visited the health centre in the community to ascertain the details of the cholera outbreak.
The disease was diagnosed in eight out of the 13 local government areas of the state.
10 other Lassa fever cases have been recorded in the state, five of whom have been treated and discharged.
The warning is coming as the killer disease resurfaces in parts of the country.
Schools have been shut in Ebonyi State due to the disease.
Two of the victims are medical doctors, an official said.
The state has urged the army to suspend exercise.
