The Borno-based club narrowly escaped relegation last season, finishing just one point above the drop zone. Dogo’s arrival is part of a broader restructuring strategy recently announced by the club’s management as they prepare for a fresh campaign.
Earlier this week, the club unveiled a new-look technical department with several internal promotions and fresh appointments:
Coach Mohammed Kalli Kachalla was promoted to Chief Coach while Coach Ibrahim Imam A Laji, who led DMD FC to the NLO, was named Assistant Coach.

According to available records, Dogo has overseen over 320 matches in the NPFL, with strong points-per-match (PPM) ratings across most of his tenures
