Nigerian interior designer and entrepreneur Ehi Ogbebor has denied claims that she has a history of dating married men, saying transport union leader Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, is the only married man she knowingly dated.
Ms Ogbebor, who spoke on the Chude Podcast posted on YouTube on Tuesday, also reflected on her two failed marriages, her experience of domestic violence and the public scrutiny that has followed her relationships.
The CEO of Sayaveth Interiors and Hotel challenged any woman who believes she took her husband to come forward, insisting that the perception that she habitually dates or “snatches” married men is false.
“MC Oluomo is one of my best friends. Ayinde, as I call him, that I know now. That’s the only man I would sit down and say, yes, I did date him as a married man, but he’s Muslim. Even bus conductors have four wives as Muslims,” she said.

“I’ve had two failed marriages, with beauty, with money; I still had two failed marriages. People have a complex when it’s Ehi. Contrary to what people think, I do not snatch people’s husbands.
“As I said, I’m waiting for the wives to come and tell me how I snatched their husbands.”
MC Oluomo relationship
Ms Ogbebor’s personal life has attracted considerable public attention over the years, particularly following the collapse of her marriages and her subsequent relationship with Mr Akinsanya.
Her relationship with MC Oluomo became public and generated considerable social media conversation because of his marital status.
In the latest interview, Ms Ogbebor did not deny that she knew he was married while they dated. She instead described him as one of her best friends and maintained that he was the only married man she could acknowledge having had a relationship with.

The businesswoman has also been married twice, including to businessman and oil magnate Kenneth Bramor. Their elaborate wedding in 2017 attracted public attention, but the marriage subsequently ended.
Ms Ogbebor said the failure of her marriages despite her success and physical appearance had shaped how she viewed relationships and public perceptions of her private life.
‘I married at 18’
Beyond the controversies surrounding her dating history, Ms Ogbebor revisited her first marriage, which she said began when she was 18.
She described the marriage as one entered into when she barely knew her partner and alleged that she suffered severe physical abuse during the union.
“I married at the age of 18. I married someone I didn’t know. I actually think the marriage was nonsense. I was a victim of terrible domestic physical abuse,” she said.
Recalling one incident, Ms Ogbebor alleged that her then-husband beat her until she lost consciousness.
“There was a day he beat me so bad. I passed out. I woke up to him pouring olive oil into my mouth,” she said.
She also recalled another alleged incident during pregnancy in which she said he pushed her and she fell on her stomach.
“He pushed me, and I fell on my tummy,” she said.
Ms Ogbebor further alleged that she experienced strict financial control in the marriage, saying her husband would provide itemised amounts for household expenses.
“He would give me a list and write it like N2,000 for tomatoes, N1,000 for Maggi,” she recalled.
She also said she eventually fled a marriage because of what she described as “juju” or voodoo, although she did not provide further details in the remarks.
‘I am not moved’
Ms Ogbebor said her experiences have changed how she responds to criticism surrounding her relationships and lifestyle.

She said she was more concerned about earning enough money, pursuing happiness and living on her own terms than responding to public commentary about her.
“Whatever they are doing now, I am not moved. Every other thing is background sound. I make enough money. Anything that will make me happy, I go for it,” she said.
Her latest remarks add to years of public conversation around her marriages and relationships, but Ms Ogbebor maintains that the popular portrayal of her as a woman who routinely pursues married men does not reflect her dating history.
