The alleged baby mama of Fuji music icon Wasiu “Kwam 1” Ayinde, Ogechi Eleana, has said she is ready to undergo a DNA test to determine the paternity of her 12-year-old daughter, Azizat, while denying reports that she sued the singer.
Ms Eleana made the remarks during an interview with Feel Right News TV posted on YouTube on Monday, as she responded to the controversy surrounding Kwam 1’s viral “Sara Ni” performance, allegations that she had sued the singer, and the ongoing paternity dispute.

The controversy resurfaced in recent weeks after Ms Eleana publicly alleged that Kwam 1 impregnated her, abandoned her and their daughter, and cut off all communication. The claims sparked widespread debate on social media, with many Nigerians urging the Fuji musician to address the allegations or agree to a DNA test.
PREMIUM TIMES earlier reported that although the 69-year-old musician neither confirmed knowing Ms Eleana nor acknowledged any romantic relationship with her, he appeared to dismiss the allegations during a live performance, saying, “Anybody with an unnecessary pregnancy is a gift.”

Although Kwam 1’s saxophonist, Olawale Adekoya, denied that the remarks were directed at Ms Eleana and her daughter, the comments sparked widespread online criticism.
DNA test
Throwing open a paternity test challenge, Ms Eleana said she had nothing to hide and was prepared to have her daughter tested.
“If it’s a DNA issue, I’m open to it; let’s do a DNA test. That’s not a big deal; my daughter is here, and I’ll take her for testing.
“I’ll clear that matter; let him come and do the DNA test. All this while, I’ve been busy trying to move forward in life,” she said.
Court claims
Ms Eleana also denied reports that she had sued Kwam 1 over allegations that he abandoned their daughter.
According to her, she is not interested in suing the Fuji musician and has instead focused on raising her daughter despite the controversy.
She, however, disclosed that some individuals, whom she believed were acting on behalf of the singer, recently approached her to ask about her daughter’s preferred school and requested a copy of her National Identification Number (NIN), among other personal details.
“Another issue I heard about was a claim that I took Kwam 1 to court. I am not a troublesome person. There’s no truth to the claim that I dragged him and my child to court. I don’t know where that came from. I’m not aware of it. I appreciate whatever help I receive, no matter how small. Nigerians are already standing up for me and for me.
“With all this support, why would I overdo things and start dragging him to court? Someone came to ask about her preferred school through one of his workers and collected a duplicate of her NIN. When we made the photocopy, we gave it to him. He also asked her to list what she needed, so she wrote down school bags, school shoes and similar items,” she said.
‘Sara Ni’ controversy
Ms Eleana also revealed that other children had mocked her daughter following the viral “Sara Ni” performance, although she said she chose not to retaliate.
She explained that a customer had first shown her the performance video, during which she noticed one of Kwam 1’s band members whispering to him before he made the controversial remark.
“So, what I want to pardon him a bit for is that he did not really plan to behave that way on stage. Maybe he got carried away or was intoxicated by his own music. A young man whispered in his ear, and he picked it up, followed the lyrics and began performing it.
“I didn’t want to make an issue out of it, but I wish my daughter had never seen it.
“What touched me most was when she complained that a girl had been bullying her. Then the girl’s father repeated it within my hearing, saying, ‘Sara ni, Sara ni.’ My daughter held my hand and said, ‘Let’s go.’ I wanted to confront them, but she told me, ‘Mummy, leave it.’”
As of the time of filing this report, Kwam 1 has yet to issue a formal statement addressing Ms Eleana’s latest remarks or her renewed call for a DNA test.
