The current peak transmission surpassed the 5,155.9 MW attained on December 8.
The new record exceeds previous national peak record of 5,074.70 recorded on February 2.
The peak generation ever attained in Nigeria was 5,074.7MW.
Customers in Lugbe, Wuse II, Gwarimpa, Life Camp, Mabushi, and Mpape will benefit from improved supply.
The NNPC hopes to build independent power plants at various locations in the country.
Already, the state government has gas processing plant to supply the plant gas.
