Vice President Kashim Shettima on Thursday arrived in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, to commission the newly reconstructed 33.5-kilometre Elele/Egbeda/Omoku dual carriageway.
On arrival at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Shettima was received by Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State, former deputy governor of Rivers State, Tele Ikuru, John Mbata, Oris Onyiri, Sam Sam Jaja, and other top government officials.
The Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Dagogo Wokoma, said the project is tangible evidence of Governor Fubara’s dedication to addressing the developmental needs of the state’s people.

Wokoma stated that the dual carriageway is one of the major road projects delivered by the Fubara administration aimed at improving connectivity and boosting economic activities across the state.
