Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez are officially married, almost 10 years after the football star and model began their relationship.
The couple exchanged vows in a civil ceremony on 11 August in Cascais, near Lisbon, Portuguese media reported. The ceremony was attended by the five children they are raising together.

Ronaldo broke the news on Instagram, posting a close-up photograph of two hands wearing wedding bands. The post attracted more than three million likes within its first 30 minutes.
The wedding took place exactly a year after Rodríguez announced that Ronaldo had proposed to her.

On 11 August 2025, she unveiled her engagement ring on Instagram alongside the message, translated from Spanish: “Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives.”
Love story
Ronaldo and Rodríguez first crossed paths in Madrid in 2016, when she worked at a Gucci store, and he was playing for Real Madrid. Their relationship subsequently became public, and they have since built a family together.
They share two daughters, Alana Martina and Bella Esmeralda. Rodríguez is also a mother figure to Ronaldo’s three older children: Cristiano Jr. and twins Eva and Mateo.

The marriage comes days after speculation over the location of their wedding caused a stir in Ronaldo’s hometown of Funchal, Madeira. Crowds reportedly gathered at the city’s cathedral amid rumours that the pair were getting married there, only for another couple to emerge as the bride and groom.
One of the most decorated players of his generation, Ronaldo has represented Sporting CP, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus and Al Nassr during a career in which he has scored close to 1,000 goals.
The 41-year-old also recently made his sixth World Cup appearance for Portugal, matching Argentina’s Lionel Messi for the most appearances at different editions of the men’s tournament.
