Peller’s ‘no sex’ before marriage
TikToker and content creator Habeeb Amzat, aka Peller, revealed during a TikTok Live session that he and his fiancée, Jarvis, chose to abstain from sex until marriage.
Peller, who made this known during a recent livestream with fellow creator Shank Comics, also stated that he neither drank alcohol nor smoked.

Laide Bakare’s daughter’s graduation in US
Actress Laide Bakare announced on Instagram that her daughter, Similoluwa, graduated from University Park in the United States.
Similoluwa revealed she finished with a 4.80 GPA.
Bakare, who debuted in the film Jejere, which premiered in the UK, currently serves as the Special Assistant on Entertainment, Arts, Culture and Tourism to Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Yemi Awomodu’s homelessness after divorce
Actor Yemi Awomodu recounted on the ‘Talk To B’ podcast that he slept on buses and park benches and struggled with basic needs after his divorce in the United Kingdom.
He said he moved to the UK after his ex-wife, who lived there, informed him about an English Language programme, which he eagerly pursued.
Awomodu said he endured harsh conditions for months before contacting colleague Tosin Abiola, who offered him a place to stay.
He began acting while studying at the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, after joining Wale Adenuga Productions. His first role came in No Pain, No Gain, followed by appearances in Disoriented Generation (2009), Ofin Kokanla (2005), and L’ako Lawa (2006).
Frodd recounted childhood molestation
Ex-BBNaija housemate Chukwuemeke Okoye, aka Frodd, disclosed under an Instagram post that house helps and neighbours sexually molested him at ages five and nine.
He urged parents to observe changes in their children’s behaviour around adults.
“As a child, I was physically molested from age five to nine by various house helps—except Aunty Chinenye, who nurtured me as a baby. The rest may be reading this or scattered around the world.
“When a child starts avoiding or acting drawn to an adult, please watch that adult. We couldn’t speak out then because our parents never built that kind of relationship with us,” he said.
Frodd made the revelation after singer Speed Darlington confessed to having sex with a 15-year-old.
Frodd finished as second runner-up in BBNaija’s Pepper Dem edition in 2019 and returned for the All Stars edition in 2023, but got evicted in the fifth week with Tolanibaj.
Portable condemned Speed Darlington over minor abuse
Singer Habeeb Okikiola, aka Portable, slammed Speed Darlington in a now-deleted Instagram video for having sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old, calling him a disgrace to the Igbo people.
This newspaper reported that Darlington admitted during an Instagram Live that he had carnal knowledge of the minor in a hotel. Portable labelled him the first lazy Igbo man he had ever seen commit rape.
He called for Speed Darlington’s immediate arrest and insisted that Igbos are hardworking, respectful of women, and not rapists.
Meanwhile, the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) gave Darlington an ultimatum to present for questioning or face legal action.

Nigerian adult film actress Wunmin Savage revealed on ‘The Square’ podcast that depression led her into acting porn four years ago.
She described the adult industry as an unexpected lifeline that rekindled her passion for life.
Savage admitted she preferred the work because she was lazy and disliked regular jobs but found that content creation met her needs.
Nasboi’s 36-state kneeling tour
Skit maker-turned-singer Nasiru Lawal, aka Nasboi, launched a mission to kneel in all 36 Nigerian states to secure a collaboration with Davido.
He began in Osun State and, by Day 4, had reached Anambra.
Nasboi hoped the gesture would persuade Davido to grant him a verse.
He explained that he first mimicked Davido in 2019 to push his music, but comedy took off instead. He has now returned to music.
Nasboi released his debut single, Umbrella, featuring Wande Coal, in November 2023 and recently signed a distribution deal with ONErpm Afro-Caribbean.

Singer Chukwuka Ekweani, aka CKay, resurfaced on social media to announce his engagement. He shared a photo of his proposal on a scenic beach.
The setup featured red flowers, lush greenery, and candles.

Adeyinka Alaseyori welcomed her third child with her husband
Gospel singer Adeyinka Alaseyori announced the birth of her third child with her husband, Dave Akinyemi, via Instagram.
She posted a video from her maternity photoshoot to celebrate the arrival of their baby boy.
The married couple already had three children—two boys and a girl.
TikToker Murja Kunya jailed for naira abuse
Justice Simone Amobeda of the Kano Federal High Court sentenced TikToker Murja Kunya to six months in prison for abusing the naira.
Kunya was granted bail in January but absconded later, prompting a rearrest.
The EFCC apprehended her in March for allegedly spraying Naira notes at a hotel.
She pleaded guilty to an amended one-count charge.
Big Bolaji buried in Ibadan
Gospel singer Bolaji Olanrewaju, aka Big Bolaji, was buried at All Souls Private Cemetery in Ido, Ibadan, after his death on 19 April at age 50.
The funeral rites began at Jogor Centre’s Hall of Grace, featuring a lying-in-state and service.
Attendees included gospel artists like Tosin Bee, Mike Abdul, Bidemi Olaoba, Yetunde Are, and comedian Woli Agba.
Regina Chukwu revealed she lost her husband to tuberculosis
Actress Regina Chukwu revealed on the Talk To B podcast that her husband died of tuberculosis three years into their marriage.
She said he developed the disease due to internal bleeding from an earlier accident and died after their second child’s birth at age 28.
Chukwu, who married in her early 20s, is known for roles in Okomi Ale Mi, Encounter, Setemi, Akun, Awolu at Awalu, Ewatomi, Idaho, and Ogunso.
Skales denied divorcing his wife over his career mockery
Singer S.kales denied claims that he divorced his wife, Precious because she mocked his music career on social media.
An X user, Verity_Hq, claimed the singer said so on the WithChude podcast, but Skales debunked it as a false claim via an X post
Skales and Precious married in May 2021. In November 2022, he sparked breakup rumours by dropping a diss track calling her the “devil”.
He later apologised in March 2023 for airing their issues publicly.
Patrick Doyle criticised young actors for entitlement.
Veteran actor Patrick Doyle warned on the ‘Nollywood On Radio’ podcast that young actors’ entitlement and arrogance could destroy their careers.
He criticised those in their 20s and 30s for hiring personal assistants to perform menial tasks, such as handing them water or untying shoelaces.
Doyle, a former broadcaster turned actor, is known for films like The Black Book, Man of God, Isoken, and Idahosa Trails.

Peter Okoye announced the remix EP of Psquare songs
Peter ‘M.r P’ Okoye revealed on ‘Cool FM’ that he planned to release a remix EP featuring revamped versions of Psquare’s old hits.
Psquare, once Nigeria’s biggest duo, comprised Peter and Paul Okoye, split in 2017. They reunited in 2021 but separated in 2024.
In August 2024, Paul accused Peter of orchestrating his and their brother Jude’s arrest, with Jude currently facing trial by EFCC.
He said copyright won’t pose an issue, as he co-owns the original music. The EP is expected to be released before the end of 2025.
Dele Odule explained why he avoids producing his films
Dele Odule said he preferred acting in other people’s films because he struggled with money management.
Speaking on Oyinmomo TV, the 63-year-old explained that film production required commercial skills he lacked.
The TAMPAN president said he had produced about 10 films but couldn’t confirm if they made a profit or where their master copies were.
Odule started acting with Oloko Theatre Group under Mukaila Adebisi’s mentorship and debuted in 1986, rising to fame with Ti Oluwa Ni Ile.
