2x Grammy-nominated Afrobeats star Asake on Sunday delivered an exclusive one-night-only performance of his chart-topping album M$NEY at London’s historic Theatre Royal Drury Lane, according to a press release shared with PREMIUM TIMES.
The special invite-only experience was presented in partnership with Spotify and was held for friends, family, and hundreds of Asake’s top listeners on the streaming platform.

The performance marked Asake’s first live rendition of M$NEY since its release on 4 May.
The award-winning singer performed songs from the album with a live orchestra in a theatre setting. The show also featured four unreleased tracks, which were performed live for the first time.

The entire performance was filmed and is set to be released as a concert film on Spotify in the coming days.
Described as a bold meditation on gratitude, prosperity, spirituality, and ambition, M$NEY reflects Asake’s signature blend of Afrobeats rhythm, melodic innovation, and Yoruba-inspired storytelling.
Since its release, the album has topped streaming charts in more than 19 countries, including Nigeria, and peaked at No. 8 in the United States. Following its success, Asake was ranked the No. 15 digital artist globally by Kworb Data.

His debut album, Mr Money With the Vibe (2022), was the highest-charting Nigerian debut album at the time of release. He followed it with Work of Art and Lungu Boy, producing hit songs including “Lonely At The Top,” “Remember,” and “Wave.”
Lungu Boy became the longest-running No. 1 album in Nigerian chart history and remains one of the most-streamed Nigerian albums globally.
Asake’s 2024 Lungu Boy World Tour sold out major venues, including Madison Square Garden, Barclays Centre, and The O2 Arena, further cementing his global reach.
He has been nominated at the 66th and 67th Grammy Awards for Best African Music Performance for “Amapiano” (feat. Olamide) and “MMS” (feat. Wizkid).
