The BBOG issued a statement on Saturday to mark the girls' 2,000 days in captivity.

Oby Ezekwesili announced the meeting on social media.

The group says the announcement by the army, “as exciting as it sounds, raises grave concerns”.

Mrs Ezekwesili and seven members of the BringBackOurGirls group were arrested by the police in Abuja on Tuesday.

Four other members of the BringBackOurGirls group are also being held.

Says Nigerians "direly need a legislature that is trusted by citizens to hold the executive accountable."

"Her hypocritical and timid silence while Kanu's IPOB supporters were engaged in lawlessness…” the aide said.

Some of the constituents of the lawmaker want him recalled.
