Mr Jalingo, the publisher of CrossRiverWatch, is in prison in Calabar.
Omoyele Sowore, publisher of Sahara Reporters, is being tried by the Nigerian State.
Mr Jalingo’s newspaper has relentlessly criticised Ben Ayade, the state governor.
Mr Jalingo has been in detention without trial since August 22
The journalist was arrested at his Lagos residence on Thursday and taken to SARS office in Ikoyi.
