The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has secured a major commercial boost after unveiling a new title sponsorship agreement with EuroMatch, worth more than $7.5 million over three years.
The landmark partnership was formally announced in Abuja on Wednesday, 26 August, bringing an end to an almost 10-year wait for the NPFL to secure a conventional title sponsor.

The agreement represents a significant commercial milestone for Nigerian football and offers the league a fresh opportunity to strengthen its financial position, raise its profile and build a more sustainable competition for clubs, players and supporters.
Under the terms of the deal, EuroMatch becomes the official title sponsor of the Nigeria Premier Football League, with the brand expected to occupy a central position in the league’s commercial identity throughout the three-year partnership.

Earlier this month, the league announced a partnership with Murphy Ben International (MBI) to provide free match streaming for fans.
Under the agreement, supporters will have free access to selected live matches and delayed broadcasts on the official NPFL YouTube channel, in HD.
The initiative gives fans an easier way to follow the competition, particularly those unable to attend matches in person, while strengthening the league’s presence on digital platforms at a time when online viewing is increasingly shaping how sports audiences consume live content.
MBI operates as a multi-channel network on YouTube and has subsidiaries including Aforevo TV and Vybz 94.5 FM.
Its partnership with the NPFL forms part of the league’s wider push to expand its digital audience and make Nigerian domestic football more accessible.
The streaming agreement came only days after the NPFL’s previous broadcasting and streaming partnership with Propel Sports Africa ended, signalling a potential new phase in the league’s approach to media distribution and commercial partnerships.
For Nigerian football fans, the combination of a major title sponsor and expanded digital access could provide a strong foundation for the NPFL’s next chapter.
