The Police Command in Anambra State has urged its personnel to always adhere to operational protocols.
The police said the measure would ensure quality service delivery and reduce protocol breaches that may jeopardise state security.
Tochukwu Ikenga, the police spokesperson in Anambra, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday in Awka.
Mr Ikenga, a superintendent of police, said the Commissioner of Police in Anambra, Ikioye Orutugu, gave the task during a condolence visit to the family of late Inspector Amechi Okolie and Police Mobile Force 29 Squadron, Amansea, Awka.

The late Mr Okolie was accidentally shot dead by his 10-year-old son with his AK-47 service rifle while on duty at a bank in Awka on 15 June.
Also, a six-year-old son of late Mr Okolie sustained a gunshot injury in the incident.
Mr Orutugu, who described the Police Mobile Force as his alma mater, reminded the officers and men of the base of the importance of adhering to Police Operation Protocol, especially in their line of duty.
He emphasised the need for teamwork and encouraged the personnel to remain focused and dedicated to their duties, despite the loss.

Responding on behalf of the squadron officers and men, the Commander, Nasiru Kaila, expressed gratitude to the police commissioner for showing empathy towards them, especially at this moment of grief.
Mr Kaila, an assistant commissioner of police, pledged to comply with the police commissioner’s directives on the squadron’s operations and reiterated the commitment of his officers and men to their duties.
The commander promised to continue working diligently to maintain peace and security in their areas of responsibility.
The highlight of the visit was the presentation of the commissioner’s welfare support package to the family of the deceased and the offering of prayer for the quick recovery of the injured son, who is receiving medical attention in the hospital. (NAN)
