In September 2026, Standard Chartered acted as Financial Adviser, Global Coordinator, Lead Arranger and Bookrunner for the US$1.1 billion financing supporting the IMA Gas Development Project, a joint venture between TotalEnergies and Amni International. Earlier in the year, Standard Chartered and the International Finance Corporation announced a US$300 million risk-sharing facility aimed at strengthening supply chains and supporting business growth across eight African markets, including Nigeria. The facility supports companies in sectors including agriculture, healthcare and manufacturing, with Standard Chartered acting as originator and provider of supply chain and trade finance.

Standard Chartered NIgeria also received recognition in 2026 for its digital and transaction banking capabilities, including Best Data Analytics Initiative – Africa, Best API Initiative of the Year – Nigeria, Best Virtual Account Initiative – West Africa, and Outstanding Payments Solution for Corporates.

The International Banking Excellence Award adds to these recognitions and comes as Standard Chartered continues to combine its international network, local expertise and product capabilities to support clients in Nigeria and across its markets.
