Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has expressed deep sorrow over the sudden passing of Tukur Hassan Tinglin, the Managing Director of the Katsina State Water Board. Mr Tingilin, an engineer died on Thursday following his involvement in an auto accident. He was buried on Friday in Malumfashi according to Islamic rites.
Governor Radda described the death as a rude shock, noting that Mr Tinglin’s leadership as Managing Director of the State Water Board was marked by pure service to the people even till his last breath. Under his guidance, efforts to ensure that clean water reached every household in Katsina were greatly intensified and sustained, the governor remarked.

A statement by Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed spokesperson to the Governor of Katsina State on Friday said Mr Radda takes solace in the fact that Mr Tinglin passed away as a faithful Muslim during the holy month of Ramadan.
Governor Radda, on behalf of the government and the people of Katsina State, extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Managing Director and the people of Malumfashi local government. He prayed to Allah to grant them the strength and fortitude to bear this monumental loss.

Governor Radda later on Friday led a high-powered delegation of the state government to the funeral prayer of the late Mr Tingilin. The Janazah prayer was led by the Khadi of Katsina State, Mutawakkil Mustapha Salis, shortly after the Jumu’ah prayer at the Malumfashi Central Mosque.
The state delegation included the Deputy Governor, Faruk Lawal Jobe; the Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly, Hon Nasir Yahaya Daura; Chief of Staff to the Governor, Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir; members of the Katsina State Executive Council and members of the Katsina State House of Assembly.
Others are the local government chairmen; the District Head of Malumfashi, Justice Sadiq Abdullahi Mahuta (rtd); Galadiman Katsina; traditional leaders; business community leaders and other dignitaries.
