The Governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, has expressed sadness over the passing of Muhammadu Buhari, the immediate past President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Mr Buhari died on Sunday at a London hospital, his spokesperson, Garba Shehu, announced. He was 82.

According to a statement issued on Monday by Ferdinand Ekeoma, Mr Otti’s special adviser on media and publicity, the governor sent his condolences to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Federal Government of Nigeria, and the family of the deceased former president.
Governor Otti, on behalf of his family and the good people of Abia State, enjoined the ex-President’s family and loved ones to bear his demise with fortitude, while praying that God grants his soul eternal repose.
