The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) has congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State on his reelection victory.
The NGF, in a statement by the Chairman of the forum and Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, similarly commended the Osun people for the large voter turnout last Saturday.

According to the statement, the NGF said the interest generated by the off-cycle ballot again confirmed the resilience of Nigerian democracy.
The forum acknowledged the incredibly important role that opposition parties also played in shaping the nation’s democracy and commended all the candidates for their efforts.

The NGF also commended the security agencies for curtailing the initial trend of violence in the days leading up to the election and for creating a secure environment that enabled the exercise to proceed without many incidents.

“Finally, we acknowledge the statesmanlike role that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has played as he carefully balanced his position as the leader of the ruling party on the one hand and the father of the nation on the other”, the statement added.
It urged Governor Adeleke to continue to build on the successes of his first term in the overall interest of the people of Osun State.
