Last week, a video clip surfaced on social media showing some angry youths from Igbo-Ukwu interrogating an old man over the whereabouts of his son, simply identified as Chigbo, popularly known as Agudo.
Igbo-Ukwu is a community in the Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The youths said in the clip seen by PREMIUM TIMES that the father and the family had claimed that Chigbo travelled to Europe in search of greener pastures.
“Where is Chigbo, our brother? If he’s dead, tell us. If he’s chained, let’s see him in chains. If you used him for sacrifice, inform us too,” one of the youths told the old man in Igbo language.
“The person in question, I gave birth to him. If he’s dead, it’s my business,” the man responded in Igbo language.
“No. no,” the youths protested.
In another clip, the youths searched the compound and found the victim in chains inside a batcher.
The youths broke the chain and freed the victim who was looking haggard and unkempt.
Police speak
In the Sunday statement, Mr Ikenga, a superintendent of police, said the Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, Ikioye Orutugu, has deployed police operatives to investigate the incident.
He said the police commissioner praised the youths for the “proactive” role they played in uncovering the incident, which he described as a clear example of community partnership in policing.
