He had millions of fans, known as “Hulkamaniacs,” who cheered him on every time he stepped into the ring.
In his prime, Hogan stood 6 feet 7 inches tall and weighed about 320 pounds.
He would walk into the ring full of energy, rip off his shirt, and cup his ear to listen to the crowd shouting his name.
After winning matches, he would strike his famous poses and often wave the American flag. People didn’t just watch him wrestle — they came for the full show.
Wrestling and Hollywood career
Hogan began his wrestling career in 1977, and by the 1980s, he had become the top star of the World Wrestling Federation (now called WWE). He won the WWE Championship six times and helped make wrestling popular worldwide.
His fame in wrestling also opened the door to acting.
In 1982, he appeared in the hit film Rocky III as a tough wrestler named Thunderlips.
Actor Sylvester Stallone, who later brought Hulk Hogan into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005, once said Hulk Hogan was so powerful during filming that he accidentally sent four stuntmen to the hospital.
Hulk Hogan went on to act in other fun action movies, such as No Holds Barred (1989), Suburban Commando (1991), Mr. Nanny (1993), and Santa With Muscles (1996).

Downside
However, his career also faced problems. In 2015, he was removed from the WWE Hall of Fame after a recording came out where he used a racist word. But he later said sorry, and in 2018, WWE brought him back into the Hall of Fame.
Even with his ups and downs, Hulk Hogan remained one of the biggest names in wrestling history. He brought excitement and energy to millions of fans and inspired many young wrestlers.
Today, the world remembers him not just as a wrestler, but as someone who helped make wrestling fun and exciting for a whole generation.
As expected, tributes have been pouring in from across the world; celebrating the life and times of Hulk Hogan
