A nine-year-old Muhammadu Buhari, who stole the show at the public presentation of a book, “According to the President,” authored by former presidential aide Garba Shehu, has been offered a full scholarship.
PREMIUM TIMES reported how the child performed a poetic recital at the event, keeping the audience captivated with words unexpected of someone his age.

The audience included a former Head of State, Yakubu Gowon, former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) George Akume and the 15th Emir of Kano, Aminu Bayero.
On Saturday, Mr Shehu announced that the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Trobell Nigeria, Lawal Garba, has offered a full scholarship to the young lad.

“Under the generous package offered by Alhaji Garba, the scholarship will cover the remainder of Muhammadu Buhari’s primary education. Trobell Nigeria will pre-pay in full the cost of six years of secondary education, to any school of the family’s choice,” Mr Shehu said in a statement.
His parents have also been advised to calculate and present the total fees required.
“And, God willing, a university sponsorship package will follow upon the successful completion of his West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WAEC),” Mr Shehu.

The young Buhari, named after Nigeria’s immediate past president, Muhammadu Buhari, hails from Kogi state, Nigeria. His father, Abdullahi Haruna, is a writer who helps the child dream big and digest serious discussions.
The child has a striking resemblance in mannerisms and diction to the former president, and his poetic recital echoed both depth and promise, Mr Shehu said.
“This is more than a scholarship. It is a seed of hope, a recognition of talent, and an investment in the future of a child whose brilliance lit up a room of statesmen, diplomats, journalists, and citizens alike.”
