Fidelity Bank Plc has announced a potential delay in the publication of its audited financial statements for the half-year ended 30 June, after securing an extension from the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX).
The lender said it secured an extension from NGX Group to 30 September to publish its half-year financial statements, according to a regulatory filing by its Company Secretary, Ezinwa Unuigboje, on Monday.

Fidelity Bank said the extension became necessary because the audit of its H1 2026 financial statements is still being finalised.
According to the bank, upon completion of the audit, the financial statements will be presented to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for approval before publication in line with the NGX Rulebook and other applicable regulations.

The financial institution said it obtained the NGX’s approval for the extension, subject to receiving regulatory approval from the CBN for the H1 2026 audited accounts.
“Premised on the foregoing, the approval of the NGX was obtained for an extension of time to September 30, 2026, subject to receipt of regulatory approval from the CBN for the H1 2026 audited accounts,” the lender said.
Meanwhile, Fidelity Bank said the trading window for its insiders and connected persons remains closed.
The bank said the trading restriction will remain in place until 24 hours after the publication of its half-year audited financial statements.

For Nigerian listed companies whose financial year ends on 31 December, H1 results covering January to June must be filed with NGX by the applicable half-year reporting deadline, subject to regulatory requirements for banks.
Fidelity Bank, one of the leading Nigerian financial institutions, reported gross earnings growth of 45.6 per cent from N1.04 trillion in 2024 to N1.52 trillion in audited financial results for the year ended 31 December 2025.
The growth reflected stronger topline momentum across core business segments of the financial institution.
It also recorded a profit after tax (PAT) of N242.4 billion, which was underpinned by a 38.7 per cent year-on-year increase in interest income of the lender.
