The death toll in Iran from ongoing US and Israeli attacks rose to 1,230 on Thursday, according to the semi-official Tasnim news agency.
PREMIUM TIME reported that the death toll was put at 1,045 a day earlier. The number had risen to 787, as previously reported.
As the casualty numbers increase, there are no indications yet of an end to the war.
About 12 Israelis were killed in Israel from Iranian missile strikes, including nine people who died in a missile attack on Beit Shemesh.
PREMIUM TIMES reported that six US citizens have been confirmed killed. They died in an Iranian strike on a US military base in Kuwait during the conflict.
Sailors receiving treatment
Sri Lankan authorities say some of the Iranian sailors struck by a US submarine in the Indian Ocean are currently recovering at a hospital in the Sri Lankan port city of Galle.
At least 87 were killed in the attack, and several others were reported missing early Thursday.
Sri Lankan military rescuers found 32 survivors and are still searching for the missing sailors.
Search and rescue operations estimate that about 60 people on board remain unaccounted for.
Authorities at the National Hospital in Galle said 87 bodies were brought in by military rescuers who responded to an early-morning distress call from the IRIS Dena.
The 32 rescued sailors were being treated for minor injuries and could be released from the hospital soon.
According to Reuters, Tehran has asked Sri Lanka to help repatriate the bodies, but a timeframe has not yet been determined.
Kuwait says tanker explosion outside its territory.
Kuwait has said the large explosion on a tanker on Thursday occurred outside its territorial waters.
The country’s Ministry of Interior said the incident occurred more than 60 kilometres (37 miles) away from the Mubarak al-Kabeer port.
Earlier, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said the captain of a tanker at anchor reported hearing and seeing a large explosion on the vessel’s port side, followed by a small craft leaving the area.
It said all crew were safe, but that the vessel had taken on water and that oil was seen in the water from a cargo tank, potentially causing environmental impact.
Qatar Airways reopened partially
Qatar Airways began operating partially on Thursday, days after it closed due to the ongoing war.

Several relief flights have been provided to help stranded passengers in Muscat and Riyadh.
The airline said the flights are intended to assist travellers who were unable to continue their journeys due to the disruption.
However, flights from Doha remain suspended because Qatar’s airspace is still closed.
