Leading record label and entertainment powerhouse Dapper Music and Entertainment has launched its new production company, Banger Only Productions (BOP).
BOP is a creative hub dedicated to nurturing, developing, and managing the next generation of music producers shaping Afrobeats and African music globally.
Dapper Music and Entertainment stated that it’s taking a bold step to change the narrative of an industry where music producers often receive limited attention regarding management, development, creative rights, funding, and branding.

According to the records label, the BOP will provide emerging and established producers with the structure, mentorship, and resources needed to thrive creatively and professionally.

Speaking at the launch, the CEO of Dapper Music and Entertainment, Damilola Akinwunmi, popularly known as Dapper, highlighted that the company’s vision extends beyond artiste management.
“At Dapper Music & Entertainment, we are building the entire music ecosystem from A&R and music development to branding, artist management, production, and every part of the creative process. Banger Only Productions is a key piece of that vision,” Mr Akinwunmi said.
Through BOP, the music company also noted that it aims to formalise and improve the African music production business.

Dapper’s reputation
Additionally, Dapper Music stated that the initiative will serve as a springboard for top-tier producers, offering them strategic partnerships, access to global networks, and opportunities for collaboration with leading artists across the continent.

The label will amplify producers’ voices with BOP and reinforce its mission to create an integrated, world-class ecosystem for African music talent.
