Omotayo “Iyan Aladuke” Sanusi, the former wife of actor and filmmaker Femi Adebayo, has denied claims that actress Toyin Abraham played a role in the collapse of their marriage, describing the allegations as false and misleading.
Ms Sanusi issued the clarification in a statement shared on her Instagram page on Wednesday after a video by social media personality Mama Esabod reignited online discussions about the claims.

According to her, the renewed discussions stemmed from allegations circulating on social media and previously reported by TVC News.
She specifically denied claims that Abraham was responsible for the breakdown of her marriage or that she confronted anyone on a movie set over an alleged affair.

Marriage
Ms Sanusi, a caterer, married the famous actor on 9 October 2016 in Ilorin, Kwara State. They have a son, Fadhil, while the actor also has three children from a previous marriage.
News of their separation emerged in 2025 after fans noticed the couple had stopped appearing together on social media and had unfollowed each other on Instagram. Although neither publicly disclosed the reason for the breakup, speculation surrounding the circumstances of their separation has continued online.
TVC News reported that a TikTok blogger claimed Abraham told Ms Sanusi that Adebayo and another actress were romantically involved during a film production.
The blogger further claimed that Ms Sanusi later confronted the actress at the movie location and that the incident contributed to the breakdown of her marriage.
Speculation
The blogger also claimed that, after learning of Abraham’s alleged involvement, the actress influenced some filmmakers to distance themselves from Abraham.
The allegations were further linked to speculation that the actress deliberately avoided acknowledging Abraham at the premiere of Iyabo Ojo’s film, The Return of Arinzo, in April, with the blogger suggesting the incident reflected a strained relationship between the actresses.
PREMIUM TIMES has not independently verified the allegations, and neither Abraham nor the other actress has publicly addressed the specific claims.

In her statement posted on her Instagram page on Wednesday, Sanusi said she decided to respond after Mama Esabod’s video reignited discussions about the allegations.
She described the claims, which continue to circulate online and are being presented as facts by some individuals, as false and misleading.
Sanusi said she had remained silent because she believed peace was preferable to engaging in public disputes.

However, she said her silence had often been interpreted as confirmation that the allegations were true.
She added that she had screenshots of conversations involving those directly connected to the matter, but had chosen not to make them public.
