Oshoala replicates Nkwocha at AWCON

Asisat Oshoala on Sunday in Limbe, Cameroon became the second player in the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations tournament after former Falcons’ striker, Perpetua Nkwocha, to score four goals in a single match.

The 22-year-old, who plays her trade in England with Arsenal Ladies, scored in the 40th, 63rd, 69th and 76th minutes.

At the post-match conference, Oshoala said, “I did not come with a target in mind to win the Most Valuable Player or the top scorer, rather to make my country (Nigeria) proud.”

Nigeria eventually won the game 6-o against Mali.

Ward outpoints Kovalev to win 3 titles
