PREMIUM TIMES REVIEW: Four must-watch matches this weekend

Barcelona FC of Spain

Liverpool vs. West Ham @Anfield @14:000 on Jan.30
Liverpool have not scored against the Hammers this season and the stat reads dismally – played two, scored none, conceded five. But this is something Jurgen Klopp will want to redress in Saturday’s FA Cup fourth round tie at Anfield.

The Euphoria of close victories against Norwich and Stoke City in the EPL and Capital One Cup could be the catalyst for the Anfield side but West Ham are in confident mood after being forced to a 2-2 draw by Manchester City. This is the FA Cup and anything can happen.

Form Guide: Liverpool [W-W-W-L-D]; West Ham [D-L-W-W-W]
Head to head
02/01/16 PRL West Ham 2 – 0 Liverpool
29/08/15 PRL Liverpool 0 – 3 West Ham
31/01/15 PRL Liverpool 2 – 0 West Ham
20/09/14 PRL West Ham 3 – 1 Liverpool
06/04/14 PRL West Ham 1 – 2 Liverpool
Prediction: Liverpool 1-2 West Ham

Barcelona vs. Atletico Madrid @Camp Nou @16:00 on Jan.30
If Atletico beat Barcelona on Saturday [and that is a big if], it would be Barcelona’s first loss since their 2-1 defeat away to Sevilla on October 3, 2015.

They are currently on a seven-match winning streak and the trio of Luis Suarez, Neymar and Lionel Messi, are scoring goals in bucket loads.

Atletico were dumped out of the Copa del Rey by Celta Vigo but they can go above the Catalans in La Liga with a win. There will be a lot of passion on the sidelines as Diego Simeone will want to ensure that his team gets at least a point from the Nou Camp.

Form Guide: Barcelona [W-W-W-W-W]; Atletico [L-D-D-W-W]
Head to head
12/09/15 PRD Atlético 1 – 2 Barcelona
17/05/15 PRD Atlético 0 – 1 Barcelona
28/01/15 CDR Atlético 2 – 3 Barcelona
21/01/15 CDR Barcelona 1 – 0 Atlético
11/01/15 PRD Barcelona 3 – 1 Atlético
Prediction: Barcelona 2-0 Atletico

AC Milan vs. Inter Milan @San Siro @20:45 on Jan.31
AC Milan are the designated home team and have had the better results of late as their neighbours have fallen from the top of the table with a couple of bad defeats and draws, especially at home last weekend to lowly Carpi.

Six points off the top of the table with Napoli and Juventus in splendid form, any more lost points could mean another season without a trophy as they were locked out of the Coppa Italia by Juventus in midweek.
Form Guide: AC Milan [W-D-W—W-D]; Inter Milan [L-D-W-D-L]
Head to head
21/10/15 CLF Milan 0 – 1 Inter
13/09/15 SEA Inter 1 – 0 Milan
25/07/15 ICC Milan 1 – 0 Inter
19/04/15 SEA Inter 0 – 0 Milan
23/11/14 SEA Milan 1 – 1 Inter
Prediction: AC Milan 2-1 Inter Milan

Real Madrid vs. Espanyol @Santiago Bernebeu @20:30 on Jan.31
Real Madrid have to win against the other Catalan side, Espanyol, after Real Betis exposed a chink in their armour last weekend.

Gareth Bale is still not fit but Cristiano Ronaldo and Karin Benzema should be able to do the business for the Zinedine Zidane-led side. They will also be wishing that Barcelona and Atletico finish their game in a draw so the gap can become slimmer.

Form Guide: Real Madrid [D-W-W-D-W]; Espanyol [D-L-L-L-L]
Head to head
12/09/15 PRD Espanyol 0 – 6 Real Madrid
17/05/15 PRD Espanyol 1 – 4 Real Madrid
10/01/15 PRD Real Madrid 3 – 0 Espanyol
17/05/14 PRD Real Madrid 3 – 1 Espanyol
28/01/14 CDR Real Madrid 1 – 0 Espanyol
Prediction: Real Madrid 4-0 Espanyol
