Nigeria is participating in the 9th International Abilympics Festival scheduled to hold in France, a statement has said.
Abilympics is a global festival for celebrating the vocational skills of persons living with disabilities in the ambiance of the culture and tradition of the host nation.
A statement by Anwulika Enechukwu, on behalf of the organisers, said the festival would hold in Bordeaux, France, between March 26 and 27, 2016.
It said the national screening for contestants expected to represent Nigeria would open between October 21 and 22, at the auditorium of the National Human Rights Commission in Abuja.
The statement called on all interested contestants to search online for details on the selection process.
It said the selection process would be open as members of the committee were drawn from NGOs, Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Office of the Head of Service of the Federation.
The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN reports that the programme is being organised by Prothese Deep Services, a Non-Governmental Organisation.
