The Super Falcons will leave their Abuja camp for Lagos on Wednesday, ahead of this weekend’s African Women’s Championship (AWC) qualifying match with Zimbabwe.
The team is scheduled to leave Abuja by 3pm on Wednesday, aboard Air Jordan, operated by Chanchangi Airlines.
The Falcons defeated the Mighty Warriors of Zimbabwe by 2-0 in the reverse fixture played in Harare. They now carry that advantage into the second leg scheduled for the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos on Saturday June 16, 2012.
The team will remain in Lagos after the AWC qualifier and continue preparations for the international friendly match against Banyana Banyana of South Africa.
The match with Banyana Banyana is the second of a 2-legged international friendly match organised by the Nigerian Football Federation in efforts to adequately prepare the Super Falcons for the defence of the AWC title won in South Africa in 2010.
The Falcons played out a 1-1 draw against Banyana Banyana on June 3rd in Rustenburg, South Africa and will attempt to get a win when they meet the Olympics-bound South African team in Lagos. The match with South Africa will be played at the Teslim Balogun Stadium on June 23, 2012.
