Nigeria’s sole representative in the CAF Confederation Cup, Enyimba International, were on Wednesday hammered 3-0 by Congolese side, CARA Brazzaville, in their second Group C clash.

Having started on a winning note in the group stage, beating Malian side Djoliba in Calabar, Enyimba were hoping to follow with another win in Brazzaville, but that was not the case.

Three first-half goals conceded inside 20 minutes of action condemned Enyimba to the heavy defeat.

It was Louamba who heads the Brazzaville-based club in front in the 14th minute before Cabwey Kivutuka extended the lead four minutes after.

Dicha Liema fired home the third goal for the hosts in the 19th minute and that was how it ended despite several other attempts for both sides.

Having lost their opener to Ivoirian side AC Williamsville on Matchday 1, CARA will be happy they were able to get back on track with the big win over the Nigerian flagbearers.
