Barcelona’s bid to go all the way in the La Liga this season without losing a match has been thwarted.
After escaping defeat against Real Madrid in the El Clasico recently, many thought Barcelona could do the invincible. But they were handed a rude shock on Sunday; losing 5-4 to Levante at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia.
Ghanaian star, Emmanuel Boateng, did most of the havoc against Barcelona; scoring a hat-trick in the highly-entertaining though feisty tie which produced a whopping 12 yellow cards.
Philippe Coutinho also scored a hat trick in Sunday’s game, but it was not enough to help Barcelona preserve their cherished unbeaten record which lasted for 36 games.
