The Nigerian national football team have confirmed their arrival in Corsica for a friendly match with the national team of the tiny Island.
The Eagles arrived Corsica Tuesday evening and have since checked into the Best Western Hotel, Ajaccio Amiraute before they resume training on Wednesday.
The Super Eagles Technical Adviser Genort Rohr as well as Chief Coach Salisu Yusuf and goalkeepers’ trainer Alloy Agu are all on ground.
According to updates from the camp, the players that have already arrived for Friday’s game include the home-based quartet of Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Alhassan Ibrahim, Stephen Odey and Sikiru Olatubosun.
The early arrivals in camp also include; Tyronne Ebuehi, William Troost-Ekong, Elderson Echiejile, Uche Agbo, Chidozie Awaziem, Ogehenekaro Etebo, Dele Alampasu and Arsenal target Henry Onyekuru who was earlier reported to doubtful for Friday’s game.
The Super Eagles will take on the Corsica Senior Team at the Stade Francois Coty in Ajaccio starting from 8p.m. on Friday, May 26, and then travel to Paris for the game against the Hawks of Togo.
The match against the Hawks has been scheduled for the Stade Municipal de Saint Leu La Foret, Paris on Thursday, June 01, 2017 starting from 7.30pm.
Meanwhile, Mainz 05 of Germany defender Leon Balogun has officially pulled out of the friendly games the Super Eagles are set to play in France.
The Nigeria international suffered a knock in the last game of the season and his Bundesliga side have now said he has to be excused from the Corsica and Togo games.
