Ajax Amsterdam and Manchester United are the finalists for the 2017 Europa League after both teams narrowly squeezed through on Thursday night.
Manchester United, who beat Celta Vigo 1-0 away in the first leg, were forced to a 1-1 draw in the second leg clash played at the Old Trafford.
The La Liga side could have caused a major upset at the Theatre of Dreams if they had been able to score one more goal but Jose Mourinho’s men will be happy they were able to do enough to take them to the Stockholm final.
On their part, Ajax, who won their first leg 4-1 were beaten 3-1 on Thursday by a desperate Lyon team.
The French giants could have extended the tie if they were able to match the score line recorded in Amsterdam a week ago.
Ajax will now take on Manchester United in the Stockholm final 10 days from now, with the Red Devils edging past Celta Vigo 2-1 on aggregate.
