Marcus Rashord got the only goal as Manchester United secured a crucial 1-0 away win over Celta Vigo in their first leg Europa League semi-final contest on Thursday night.
The young England striker was brought down just outside the box and he stood up to slot in the resultant free kick which gives United a healthy advanatage going into the second leg.
With United outside the Premier League’s top four – the Europa League perhaps represents their best chance of earning a place in next season’s Champions League and they are definitely not leaving anything to chance.
Ahead of the second leg, Jose Mourinho’s side will be strong favourites to progress to face Ajax or Lyon in Stockholm on May 24 in the final of a competition they have never won.
