Nigeria International, Osaze Odemwingie, has said he is quite pleased with the fresh opportunity he has been handed at his new club, Rotterdam United.
Odemwingie, 35, Monday night signed for Rotterdam till January. The striker told his club’s official website that he hopes to rediscover his form at the Championship bottom club.
“Class is permanent, form is temporary, so I just need to find my form. All the movements are still there,” he said.
Odemwingie who played in two World Cups for Nigeria confirmed he also had Bolton Wanderers on his trail but had to make a quick choice.
He said: “Rotherham and Bolton showed interest over the weekend. Time is not on my side at my age and the Championship is a bit closer to where I wish to be.
“Thanks to Bolton for their interest in me but I’m really pleased to join Rotherham. Kenny showed some interest in me a few months ago and we have been in touch since then. I am pleased he got a job and he offered me a contract.”
The weight of expectations will be massive on Odemwingie as his new club are rock bottom of the 24-team Championship League with six points from 14 matches
