The draws for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted by Gabon have been conducted.
Though all the groups from Wednesday night’s draw look tricky, it is widely seen that Group B which houses Tunisia, Algeria, Senegal and Zimbabwe is the tournament’s ‘Group of Death’
In the other pairings, Ghana have been pitched against familiar foes, Egypt and Uganda, after drawing the two, who are also featured in same qualifying group for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The last team in Group D is Mali.
Elsewhere, host nation Gabon predictably made Group A, alongside Burkina Faso, Cameroon and Guinea Bissau.
Group C comprises of defending champions Cote d’Ivoire, DR Congo, Morocco and Togo.
The 2017 AFCON will run between January 14 and February 5 in four host cities.
The Super Eagles are missing in action for the umpteenth time in the continent’s flagship football competition.
Nigeria last featured in the 2013 edition held in South Africa where the Late Coach Stephen Keshi led the country to her third AFCON triumph.
