Relief as Nigeria U-23 team finally arrive in Brazil

The Nigeria-U23 team, the Dream Team VI, have finally arrived in Manus, Brazil, after all the drama that overshadowed their journey from Atlanta, Georgia.

The Coach Samson Siasia tutored side have just few hours to get themselves together before filing out by Friday (Nigeria time) for the second Group B clash against Asian U-23 champions, Japan, at the Arena Amazonia.

Despite the torrid journey from the United States, Coach Siasia maintains that his players are fired up for the task ahead of them which is to start well against Japan and ultimately challenge for gold in Rio.

French referee, Clément Turpin, will be at the center when the Nigeria U-23 and their Japanese counterparts get down to action.

Nigeria have a better head-to-head record against their Asian counterparts.
