Nigeria Premier League club, Ikorodu United in ghastly auto crash

Nigeria Professional Football League side, Ikorodu United, were Friday involved in a ghastly accident that claimed several lives according to the media manager of the Lagos-based club, Babatunde Ayoola.

According to Ayoola, the accident happened at about 4pm along AMA Brewery Road 9th mile Enugu.

The Oga Boys as the Ikorodu United team are fondly referred to were said to be travelling in a Chisco bus but were lucky as the players and staff travelling sustained only minor injuries.

Ikorodu United at the moment are the bottom team in the Nigeria League; having only recorded a paltry 15 points from 21 games.
