The Head Coach of Egypt’s senior national team Hector Cuper has called up 23 players for the two-legged 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Nigeria.
Nine players in the roster are from both Al Ahly and Zamalek; adding up to the five European-based players earlier called for the crucial double header tie.
The five foreign-based invited are Mohamed Salah of AS Roma, Mohamed Elneny of Arsenal, Ahmed Hassan Koka of Sporting Braga and Amr Warda of Panetolikos.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles will host the Pharaohs in the first leg in Kaduna on Friday, March 25 with the return leg billed to hold four days later in Borg El-Arab Stadium in Alexandria on March 29.
Egypt are presently in pole position in Group G having garnered six points, two points ahead of Nigeria from the same number of matches with five goals advantage.
