The Nigeria Home based Eagles have surprisingly crashed out of the ongoing African Nations Championships, CHAN after suffering a lone goal defeat at the hands of Guinea.
Ibrahima Sory Sankhon scored the only goal of the game which ended the ambition of Coach Sunday Oliseh and his boys who had before now showed much promise after recording an opening day win over Niger and a draw against Tunisia.
Going into Tuesday’s game, Nigeria were previously top of the log in Group C with four points while the duo of Tunisia and Guinea were trailing with two points.
The proceedings in Kigali and Umuganda Stadium however turned the tables against Nigeria as Oliseh failed his first major test in African football.
In the other Group C game, Tunisia finished top of the standings after they whipped Niger 5-0.
