Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo on Saturday scored his 5th goal of the season and his 21st goal of the year as Watford forced a 1-1 draw against AFC Bournemouth in one of the English Premier League games.
Glenn Murray scored the first goal for Bournemouth at Dean Court, but missed a penalty to win it late on.
The Hornets were gifted their equaliser when goalkeeper Artur Boruc misplaced his kicked to striker Ighalo who enjoyed the simplest of tap in to increase his goal tally.
At the Etihad, birthday boy Kelechi Iheanacho enjoyed some playing time as his team Manchester City crushed Newcastle United 6-1.
Iheanacho was by no means the centre of attraction but Sergio Aguero who scored five times in 20 minutes as Manchester City came from behind to thrash Newcastle 6-1 and return to the Premier League summit.
In other games Victor Moses had a share of the spoils as Sunderland played out a 2-2 draw at home to West Ham.
Moses and his teammates were hoping for a fourth successive win on the road but that was not to be as they could only get a point at the Stadium of Light.
Elsewhere, Leicester who were beaten by Arsenal last time out, returned to winning ways with a 2-1 success at Norwich.
Jamie Vardy scored from the penalty spot in the 28th minute, taking his tally to seven in eight appearances this season, before Jeffrey Schlupp doubled the lead.
Dieumerci Mbokani’s first goal for the Canaries reduced the arrears but there was no equaliser.
There was also some joy for Osaze Odemwingie as a solitary strike from Marko Arnautovic saw Stoke take the points at Aston Villa.
Arnautovic, who had earlier been denied by a marginal offside decision, beat Brad Guzan 10 minutes into the second half to hand the Potters a first away win since the same fixture in February.
In the early kick off, Crystal Palace moved third in the table after a 2-0 home win against West Brom.
