Super Falcons on Saturday defeated Santos Boys Academy 4-0 in a friendly match played at the National Stadium, Abuja.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the match was to prepare the Super Falcons for the 11th All-Africa Games billed to hold in Congo Brazzaville in September.
The game started with both teams displaying defensive skill.
Mercy Amaze scored the first goal of the match in the 35th minute.
Chioma Nugwu added another goal from the 18 yards box in the 55th minute, while Anam Imo scored the third goal in the 88th minute of play.
Chiwendu Ihezuo scored the fourth goal close to the end of the match.
Falcons coach, Christopher Danjuma, later said that 70 to 80 per cent of his players were back from the Federation Cup which boosted their performance.
Santos Boys coach, Ezekiel Oyegbulem, who described the game as `good,’ said his boys were not prepared for it.
He said they were compelled to honour the invitation.
“Since we had to train with the Falcons to prepare for the AAG, we had to be here,” he said.
