The Head Coach of the newly-promoted Premier League Club, Kwara United, Tunde Abdurahman, has urged his players to be focused and committed to the new season.
The coach said the team’s aim is to secure a continental ticket.
“By God’s Grace, I want a continental ticket for the team; I am not at all bothered about winning the league. Any club I handle, I Invest there, I handled Wikki, invested my time and all and we topped the league,” he said.
In a chat with PREMIUM TIMES, the former Coach of Wikki Tourists said his team has started well as they are on top of the three-week old League.
“The players have to be committed and also concentrate. They should not allow match results or our position on the league table to get into their head, there is a lot more work to do which require seriousness. We have new and old players in the team and we are ensuring they work together,” he said.
“We started very well and we hope to maintain the tempo. Meanwhile, we did well with the last match and I don’t want it to get into their head because the Premier League is different from the lower division which we are coming from,” the coach said.
The club is sitting on the fifth position on the league table with five points in three matches.
