AFCON 2015 Qualifiers: [LIVE UPDATES] How Nigeria demolished Congo

Nigerian Super Eagles

The Super Eagles were on the brink of not qualifying for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations following their poor start in the qualifying campaign. With four points in four games, the Eagles were condemned to record a win in today’s away clash against Congo.. With the duo of IK Uche and Emanuel Emenike leading the Nigeria attack… Fans were eager to see the Eagles fight their way back to reckoning. They did.

Anything short of victory would have meant the Eagles not been able to defend the title they won last year in South Africa. Interestingly the last time AFCON was staged in Equatorial Guniea Nigeria did not quaifying.

With today’s victory, the Eagles seem determined to avoid a repeat of that scenario.

Congo Brazzaville should be banned from football for ten [10] years. The country is a disgrace to football. Their French Coach should also be sacked forthwith for pretending and earning fat salaries ten times above the locals. Nothing on the field today in Poin Noire stadium showed that the Congolese ever played football before. No three good were passes were done or completed.

The dark ages Congolese players spent more time in a salon to cut hair-styles for television but that only made them look more like primates than footballers.

Losing a game is nothing but losing a game without grit or sense is close to treason in soccer. Congolese footballers should look for something else to do – especially the tall number 10 player who seemed like an abandoned child looking for affection by falling down all over the place and expecting to be loved by an angry crowd which instead reacted by pelting him and all other Congolese players during the match with any object capable of injuring.
