Shooting Stars also won 2-0.
Kaduna United were pummeled 4-0 in their away Week 28 Glo Nigeria Premier League mid-week match against Warri Wolves at the Warri City Stadium, Warri, on Wednesday.
Wolves were too hot to handle for the visitors who started chasing the game right from the first minute.
Musa Najare, who ended the day with a hat-trick, set the ball rolling for Wolves as he converted a first minute penalty awarded against the Crocodile Boys.
The in-form striker was on hand to add the second goal minutes later before fast improving teenage strike sensation, Oghenekaro Etebo, made it three for the hosts inside the first 30 minutes.
The goal for Etebo is his 11th goal of the season. Wolves somehow took their feet off the pedal scoring just one goal in the second half and it was the man who started the goal rush, Najere, that scored the game’s fourth and final goal to effectively register the fifth hat trick of the season in the Glo Nigeria Premier League.
Shooting Stars also defeated Elkanemi warriors of Maiduguri 2-0.
Ibadan fans who were previously apprehensive after seeing the first 45 minutes of the tie at the Lekan Salami Stadium end goalless finally burst to life as the Oluyole Warriors secured the maximum points on the back of goals from Musa Raphael and super sub Osagona.
Musa got the first goal for 3SC in the 52nd minute before Osagona sealed victory with his first touch of the game netting the match winner in the 72nd minute.
Shootings started the day third from the bottom and are expected to make some upward movement after Wednesday’s win in Ibadan.
In other venues, Enugu Rangers came from behind to beat Lobi Stars, 2-1, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu while Kano Pillars lost 0-2 to Heartland in Owerri .
Enyimba also returned to winning ways beating Gombe United 3-0; while in Lafia, Nasarawa United’s poor run finally ended as newly appointed Coach, Kadiri Ikahana, secured a 4-0 win for them over his former team Dolphins FC.
ABS FC’s 1-0 win over 10-man Akwa United completes results from the Week 28 matches across the country.
