The Falconets will get more goodies from the Tokyo based businessman if they win the cup.

A Nigerian businessman based in Tokyo, Japan, Stanley Okafor, has donated a Samsung Galaxy Tab and an IPAD to each member of the national U-20 women’s team, the Falconets.

The Falconets are currently in Japan for the ongoing FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

Ejiro Femi-Babafemi, the Falconets Media Officer, in an online statement said that the donation was for the Falconets performance at the competition.

The Falconets on August 30 defeated Mexico 1-0, to advance to the semi-finals of the competition and would meet the U.S on September 4.

Mr. Femi-Babafemi said in the statement that each of the 21 players and 10 officials received the mobile device at a colourful ceremony held at the team’s Hilton Hotel in Tokyo, Japan.

The statement added that Mr. Okafor, who watched the Falconet’s matches from the preliminaries, had earlier donated 800 dollars to the team.

“It’s my widow’s mite of saying well done. You have made us proud. This is the best national team as far as I am concerned, and I am delighted to be identified with you,” Mr. Okafor was quoted as saying.

The statement added that the businessman, who has spent over 22 years in Tokyo, also assured the team of more goodies if they eventually lift the trophy.

“All I just want from you is to do your part by defeating U.S.A on Tuesday and by extension, lifting the Cup. God has given you what it takes to win,” he said.

The Head of Delegation, and board member of the Nigerian Football Association (NFA), Effiong Johnson, presented Mr. Okafor, with the team’s full regalia– Adidas kits. Mr. Johnson commended the donor, for the gesture, on behalf of NFA’s President, Aminu Maigari.
