Nigeria has won her first gold medal in the ongoing London 2012 Paralympics.
Yakubu Adesokan won gold in powelifting on Thursday.
The gold medal is a sharp contrast from the London 2012 Olympic Games where Nigeria got no medal.
Mr. Adesokan’s gold is the first by an African country in the London 2012 Paralympics, which started on Wednesday and will be on for the next 10 days.
