Eagles play draw in Malawi

The Super Eagles of Nigeria were forced to a 1-1 draw by the Flames of Malawi in their second game of the ongoing Brazil 2014 World Cup qualfiers.

Playing in front of the vociferous Malawian fans at the Kamuzu stadium in Blantryre  on Saturday afternoon, the Eagles were close to recording a famous win after home boy,

Reuben Gabriel, put Nigeria ahead in the 88th minute of the tension-soaked encounter.

The Flames however drew level in added time through Christopher Banda to save themselves some blushes having previously vowed to roast Nigeria before the game.

The draw keeps Nigeria on top of Group F with four points after match day two games of the qualifying series.
